New Works
Nic has performed in new works and readings with companies all around the Bay Area. At the end of 2021, they understudied (and went on!) in the world premiere of Georgiana and Kitty at Marin Theatre Company. More about that play here and an article about understudying featuring Nic here. They did Zoom performances with Queer Cat Theater Company during the lockdown. You can find the article about the first show from the SF Chronicle here. They have done readings with SF Playhouse, Magic Theater, Cutting Ball, New Conservatory Theater Center, Dragon Theater, Monday Night Playground, and The Olympians Festival. They have also performed new works by living American playwrights such as The Caveman Play with Faultline Theater, The Gay Divorce Play with Queer Cat Productions, The Christians with San Francisco Playhouse, Margaret of Anjou with Those Women Productions, Confessions of a Catholic Child with Exit Theater, Hidden: A Gender with the Variance Festival, and Come Here Often with Left Coast Theater Company.
Shakespeare, Musical Theater, and The Classics
Nic’s passion for Shakespeare’s work and classic texts proceeds their arrival in California. Thus, since their move to California Nic has performed in many such plays, with many companies around the Bay Area. They have understudied in Macbeth at Berkeley Repertory Theater, and in As You Like It and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at California Shakespeare Festival. Other Shakespeare credits include Cabaret Cressida (An adaptation of Troilus and Cressida) with Poltergeist Theater Project, Love’s Labour’s Lost (musical) at Douglas Morrison Theater, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Julius Caesar tours with The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, The Taming of the Shrew with Half Moon Bay Shakespeare, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Women’s Will.
Nic’s first love as a performer was doing musical theater, and their love for singing and dancing on stage has never wavered. Nic’s Bay Area musical theater credits include Wizard of Oz with Berkeley Playhouse, Evita with Landmark Musical Theater, Cinderella Eats Rice and Beans with Fuse Theater, Club Inferno with The Thrillpeddlers, 1776 with Tabard Theater company, and Spamalot with Pacific Repertory Theater.
